I agree.  This move by Pelosi is a step in that direction....but it will cost her.....

Only if she can regain control.  Right now there are forces in the Democrat House that are ignoring her.

That only means that the swing to the left will be much more powerful. I don't think Trump will will win reelection, because he is just too polarizing for the country. He might remain popular with Republican voters, but that is a rapidly shrinking pool of likely voters.

Personally, I don't really care if another center right Democrat wins the presidency, I am actually more concerned with getting enough new Democrats elected to both houses of Congress, and state elections. This is the only way to realistic way to bring change to a system that is currently failing so many Americans.

I find it laughable that the likes of AOC and Bernie Sanders are being painted as some form of extremists, but nobody seems to know why they are extremists.

You don't think the socialism/communism Bernie and AOC are promoting is not polarizing?  Btw, Bernie and AOC are extremist based on the completely unsustainable wish lists they are putting out there, and it seems most of the other perspective candidates are following suit.  Now this strategy may play well with the extreme leftist base of the party, there are a lot of moderates and independents that want nothing to do with these free lunch programs that will cost astronomical amounts of money.

Well I don't see the US pushing sanctions on itself, so that's probably not going to happen.

Sure, the US sanctions were the downfall of the Soviet Union.  You do realize that socialism/communism are programs that eventually run out of money regardless of any sanctions.

Less polarizing than the AOC and Bernie bunch.........the ONLY reason Trump is so polarizing is the constant attacks and lies by the media.

Elections are a while off yet. There is plenty of time to figure out which candidate will win the nomination. Also, just because you don't feel a candidate is a strong contender, doesn't really mean very much. Nothing personal, just that baby boomers will soon will soon loose their significance, and those replacing them maybe be more to change, than previous generations. We are at a turning point in history when people will need to decide if they wish to continue with the current failing system, or demand an alternative.

No doubt there will be a Democratic candidate in the election. Who is a strong candidate that can beat the incumbent? And who is going to provide an alternative to the current system? Neither party will do that.

I would vote for Dan Crenshaw if he ran against Trump. He would be an awesome VP choice if Pence  does not want to run again

If he stopped the Twitter nonsense and kept his mouth in check, he wouldn’t be providing ammunition for the media.
