Way toooo long, but it was regular processing.  No RFE or bars.   I did file the 601a waiver which took about six months.  NVC wont review the case until the waiver is adjudicated.

How long did it take from when your i601a was approved until nvc actually received the approval notice?

Hi Dalila, I waited the recommended 6 weeks then emailed NVC.  Within 2 days of the email NVC confirmed they had received it.  If i did it again i would have emailed sooner.  Hope this helps.

My wife had her appointment on June 3rd. L  1st day was the check in with appointment center.  If you haven't made that appointment do it right away.  If you can't get a date you like book it anyway and check the website often.  You can change the appointment if you need to. No need to arrive more than 15 minutes early.  The 2nd day was for the medical clinic.  We made a morning appointment and picked up the results in the afternoon.  3rd day we went to the mall and watched movies.  We gave ourselbes an extra day as they say the medical can take up to 48 hours for results.  The day of the interview my wife went into the consulate for 4 long hours.  She said it was mostly waiting. A woman reviewed her paperwork and then another man interviewed her.  The actual interview was only 5-10 minutes. As long as you are honest and have nothing to hide things should go pretty smoothly.  The next day we flew to mexico city to wait for the visa.  Although the man approved her visa the woman that checked her paperwork wanted a new police certificate. We had a federal police certificate, but it was just a printout on regular paper.  The officer didn't believe it was an original.  The state certificates are printed on government paper with a picture and fingerprint.  This put us into the dreaded administrative processing.  We were able to get them a new certificate within 2 days.  We recieved the visa by DHL on June 25th.  Flew back to the USA. Spent 20 minutes at immigration and we were home free.  It was the most stressful month of our lives but everything worked out.  If you have any converns or questions i'm happy to go into more detail.

Best wishes!

Hi has anyone complete their interview in Juarez can anyone tell me their experience is it really dangerous over there as the news says it is I'm suppose to be leaving with my husband for his interview soon just really worried if I'm going to be kidnapped robbed or raped?

We have been there twice on our journey.  Flying into Juarez and used Uber.    Arrive during the day as you have to walk to the street to meet them.   Stay at a hotel near the consulate;  ACS and Medical is there too.  The area around the consulate is well patrolled. It is safe to walk to the Mall or Applebees.  Some of the Clinics and Hotels have van service too.

Like anywhere I travel to, be aware of your surroundings, travel light and don't be a target.

Hello Cinthya. We are in the same boat. Im a DACA Recipient as well and arrived in the U.S when I was about 1. My husband petitioned  for me in November 2017. In November 28th 2018 we received a letter stating that all documents have been received and currently in a queue waiting for an interview. It has been 11 months and still no interview. I was just curious if you have heard back?

Sadly it was about 8.5 months from case closed to appointment.  Hang in there the day will come.  I don't think checking the website for updates is worthwhile.  We recieved an email notification and the CEAC status had not changed.  Best of luck!

Is there any way you can go into more detail with the police certificate. I have one, but i’m not sure if it’s the same one your wife had. Where were you able to get the new one? Did “Dreaded administrative processing” put your interview on hold until you got the new one?

The poloce certificate we had was from the federal government and came as a computer printout on regular paper.   The agent didn't believe it was an original document and required us to get a new one.  This happened during the appointment and we recieved an official request for documents from dhl a few days later in Mexico.  We went to the courthouse in Toluca to get a new one.  The new certificate was a much better document as it was printed on goverment watermark paper, had perforated edges, my wifes picture and fingerprint.  We submitted the document right away and got out of AP in about a week.  Hope this helps.

I don't recall the name of the courthouse, but i would assume it is state run.  You coupd probably check their website or call to ask if they provide the police certificates.  We got the certificate that day beforw leaving the courthouse. Are you waiting in DF before your interview?
