Hey everyone. So this week I was let go from my job after only working three days, I got it through a temp agency. I'm now concerned about being asked at the AOS interview on March 4th about me working and if it will be a huge issue. My husband does meet the income requirements, I just thought it would look better if we were both working. I am trying to get another job, but because we live in a rural area it isn't easy which is why it took me so long before.

You are not required to have a job. They are interested in the sponsor having income. If they ask, making pleasant conversation,  just say you are still looking. No problem.

Why would it look better if you both work? It's a personal choice in a family and not something that USCIS can judge people on.

They are just int. if the sponsor can provide what they say they do in the sponsorship papers (income).

We have everything together as proof of my husband's income, helps that he recently got a raise.

Then you should be fine :) Don't worry about your job situation just take whatever just to have a job for the AOS search for a job that will make you happy instead. Your job or not job will have no effect what so ever.

Thanks :) We are looking to move to a different State once we eventually have some money behind us as there isn't much in the area but I'm still searching job sites everyday for something.

Everything will work out. My husband works for the same company I was employed at and he was talking to one of the supervisors today who said they have a possible opening in a different area of the plant I could come back and work at! Fingers crossed :D

Awesome. Nonetheless, your job or finances is a not requirement for Affidavit of Support; that burden is all on your husband (the sponsor). Good luck with your job situation and your interview. Break a leg.
