IRS Tax transcript

I'm filling for citizenship based on the 5 year rule, not on the 3 year rule. Do I have to bring Tax transcripts to the interview? 

 

The letter from USCIS says:

 

You MUST BRING the following with you to the interview:
• This letter.
•Your Alien Registration Card ("green card").
•Any evidence of Selective Service Registration.
•Your passport and/or any other documents you used in connection with any entries into the United States.
•Those items noted below which are applicable to you:

 

If applying for NATURALIZATION AS THE SPOUSE of a United States Citizen;
•Your marriage certificate.
•Proof of death or divorce for each prior marriage of yourself or spouse.
•Your spouse's birth or naturalization certificate or certificate of citizenship.
If applying for NATURALIZATION as a member of the United States Armed Forces;
•Your discharge certificate, or form DD214.

 

I see people talk about their taxes a lot in this forum so I'm not sure if I need to bring mine, my interview is in a month so if I do I need to get on it now.

I would bring them anyway, just in case. Chances are they won't ask for it, but just have it. One of the requirement for naturalization is having filed tax returns since you became LPR.

Like others said, doesn’t hurt to bring those with u, highly unlikely they’ll ask for it. You can downlod the transcripts in minutes from IRS.

I wasn't able to create an online account with the IRS so I ordered them by mail, I have the physical version of all my tax returns so I guess if they don't get here on time I'll just bring those.

estrella- Any type of tax return proof will be okay, if you could not get IRS transcripts on time.  Better to carry more than less during interview.

Bring them because my wife had her interview for Citizenship and they asked her for a copy and kept it even though I uploaded it all online.

Also, remember in the letter it says being all original documents you have submitted when you applied for N-400, along with all Passports you have used if you have them.

I was asked if "I owed any debt to US government?" and I answered "No" but never asked for transcripts but I had them on me just in case.
