Does the congressman's office care how long its been? Does there have to be a special problem with the case? If I ask them to try to get more information than I can get will that push my case up to be a Congressional Inquiry and scoot it to the top of the pile? I don't want to jump ahead of anyone at all. But plenty of people who applied after me have already been approved. "We process them in the order in which they were rec'd" is a load of #######.

I have to try something... ANYTHING.. to end this. If they tell me no and I have to wait then i'll be back in the same boat i'm in right now. In my opinion, C&J.. just do it. Make the call.

From what I have read on here, the congressman aren't able to do anything until the filing time has passed the "6 months" that USCIS state on their site. If it's passed that then they are able to enquire on your behalf and try to find further information.

My Honey - congrats on the 7 month wedding aniversary :D

Jordanluvr - congrats on the approval :D

An update from me: Josh phoned the mis-information line again yesterday and got a much more helpful respresentative. He was told that they are currently processing April 18th cases and that (even though we'd never received our original NOA1 and the priority date on the copy NOA1 said 11th April) the lady told Josh that our actual NOA1 date is 25th April, so we are still 7 days ahead of the date they are processing. I'm really confused about why the copy NOA1 for the I130 has the priority date that it does

I130_receipt.jpg

I'm not holding my breath that we'll get an approval within a week, but it is good to have an update. We'll also be waiting until the 26th to contact a senator.

Really this news is an encouragement not only to you but to all of us who are going thru CSC. We've all hit our highs and lows, valleys and mountains in this (learn-as-you-go) journey. Thanks for sharing (vent of frustrations, cries for help and victories). I think it's important and makes a difference for all of us.

God bless you! You are e genius! Thank you very much! Thank you!

You're welcome, I've had to do all my research online from various sources (thanks VJ!) in order to get all my paperwork done as well. Congrats to all those who are getting approved....by the way, G&A, I think my receive date (according to my paperwork) for my I-130 is actually June 5th, with NOA1 June 14th. Are they going by NOA1 dates or the actual receive dates?

Congrats to all the recent approvals and good luck for the rest of the VJ  I am really happy for them. :D

Seeing recent K3 NOA2s from CSC is indeed encouraging news. Lets just hope that they keep it going this time compared to the CSC K3 NOA2 drought we experienced post-August (after most of the March filers were approved in the month of August). I dont want to sound too pessimistic(well this long process make u one anwyays :)) but the long time-waiting K3 filers(April/May) at CSC and I m sure other K3 VJers knows for sure and agrees with me on my "K3 NOA2 drought" sentence.

Anyhow, recent CSC K3 NOA2s are really good news and lets just keep on praying/hoping for lots more... I dont remember the exact timelines but I think edp333, C and J, MY honey, Urge, gogo and maybe G&A.. you guys have to be getting pretty close now..U guys are probably next in line I believe...

Good Luck to all and lets hope CSC puts out more K3 NOA2.. We still have a few more days left in this week... Hope the best for all.

thanks pkewl =) I really hope that we all get our approvals soon, so that you can get yours too  I called in yesterday, 10/22/07, and they finally said they are working on our case, HOWEVER, they need up to 30 days to do a "REQUIRED INVESTIGATION", because these kinds of cases require it.. What kind of background check are they doing (for me or for her)? I already work for the government, so I have my background checks done already  how can you take 30 days just to do a check?.. I can find out my credit history in a day... they should be able to pull up my information in less than a week... my god... they are so slow... :crying: :crying:

Congrats everyone on your approvals.

I have one question though. Yesterday (Monday), I called USCIS using the RFE trick. My cases had not been touched since July for I-130 and August for 1-129F, well due to my call both of my cases were touched (even though I only gave the customer service rep. my receipt number for my I-130, not for the 1-129F). I understand when you use the RFE trick you generate these touches.

However, today i was touched again....(and I did not call). Should I be getting excited here, or are these touches still from yesterday's call?

Your responses are appreciated.

THanks,
