Hello everyone!!

 

really simple question here...how do we go about traveling in the US witha K1 visa?

 

We want to go to Hawaii for our honeymoon, and I’m just a bit confused. Will we just need his Brazilian passport? That’s the only ID he will have for a while...I read somewhere that a drivers listened is needed to travel?

 

yes I know traveling outside of the US is out of the question before getting a GC...

We flew from L.A. to Detroit using his passport.  No one even looked at the visa page, just the bio page to verify his identity.

We went from New York to Alaska a few months ago. We also went to Miami a few months before that. Just use the foreign passport. There were no issues.

You will be perfectly fine to travel to Hawaii.   Just be sure to have a valid ID.  Hawaii may not be apart of the continenetal U.S., but it's still a state and a "domestic" flight.  I was stationed in hawaii for 3 years, and I've flown numerous times from Hawaii to the "mainland".  Hawaii won't check your ID after your arrival, so no need to worry.  Have yourself a great time!!
