You changing the name in your passport is completely up to you. You do not have to change it in order to travel internationally. But you will have to do the ROM of you want to change it. 

 

My asawa used her passport for 4 years in her maiden name without issue even though her GC was in the married name.

No need to change your passport immediately , you can wait when you are renewing your passport and change that information .
