Address

My fiance lives in a very rural part of Malawi Africa so he does not have a typical  house address. Does anyone have experience of what works best in this situation when the application asks for his address history.

My husband, albeit not from Africa, also didn't have an address or at least a traditional one. So I put down "directions" which was like 2 1/2 blocks to the south in the Primera de Mayo neighborhood etc which is how he would have described his house/address anyway.

 

They won't be mailing him anything especially if there really isn't a good or reliable mailing system to begin with.

Hi.  My fiancé lives in what is called a compound with no street numbers or street address.  As a side note, I wrote that he lives in a compound community, as many do in certain parts of Africa.  The only way he gets his mail is by going to his local post office when he is called to come pick up his mail.  USCIS was okay with that because we still got approval at that phase of our journey.

In this case how are they communicate with your husband like send him instruction documents, package etc.? or is very things communicate to the US petitioner instead.

use the local post office address as his address history and uscis will understand.

I specifically emailed the embassy requesting an electronic copy of the packet 4 which they sent to me via email. Other than that there was no communication between him and the embassy since they send the passport to be picked up at a specified/chosen location. Probably much like your fiancé's area there's no such thing as getting a letter or package at your house via the mail in Nicaragua. If you expect a package (from the states as an example) you have to go and pick it up.
