AP is open ended unfortunately.

There was a woman just a few weeks ago on AP in Egypt also and had hit the 18+ months mark.

There is no real way to expedite it or push them to get an answer or decision.

The USC can try to contact their congressperson and maybe they can "nudge" at the embassy but they can't force them to make a decision.

I was the same in your case my husband interview 8/26/18 AP, and that is how it went 48 days in AP they finally called my husband to send in his passport.

my question is this.

you have sent off the family registration and the Joint sponsor information, at this time they asked for your passport?

do you have your passport or do they have it?

and has the petitioner attempted to contact the local state senators office for the state petitioner lives in?

normal processing time is 60-90 days from when the papers were received, has emails been sent to check to cairo embassy.

were there any red flags in your case?

IE age difference, marriage first visit, marriage at ministry of justice or did you have a wedding and reception with family and friends, how many visits, how long have you been together, did spouse have previous marriage.

so your spouse is 18 years older than you are, did she have a previous marriage, or does she have children? how many times has she come to visit? and when you communicate do you speak in English? do you talk on the phone? do you use a translator?

I ask all these questions because

1. you have an outside the normal age gap for Cairo

2. your English does not seem to be good enough to communicate without the help of a translator, and it puts the marriage in a group of not bonafide since you can't hold a verbal conversation unless your wife speaks Arabic.
