Marijuana paraphernalia as a ESTA holder

Hey, very glad I found this community, I was inadmissible at POE in Dallas after CBF officer got suspicious about some marijuana related souvenirs like grinders, smell proof bags etc that I got from a prior trip to California, no actual substance, still I was removed and denied entry with inadmissible status 212(a)(7)(a)(i)(I) because I admitted intent to purchase marijuana in the US, they said I cannot use ESTA program again and cancelled my media visa, they also said I need to get a visa like B1 visitor to visit the states again. What consequences am I facing on a next try to enter the country even through a more 420 friendly state like California?

IF you can get a visa, probably none. That said, getting a visa is unlikely. Why on Earth would you admit intent to purchase marijuana in the US? Anyway, that's water under the bridge.

It doesn't matter that California is a 420 friendly state.  MJ is illegal under federal laws.  Entry into the US is under federal laws, not California law.  Entering the US with the intent to violate federal laws is big no no.

As mentioned, state law is one thing, but you are dealing with federal laws at entry into the US regardless of what state. Same with the embassy and the issuing of a visa, so you can try but wouldn't get too hopeful. May take some time before they would issue you one.

States don't control entry into the US..."souvenirs", huh?

I would first see if you can get a B, seems unlikely.
