Hi guys,

I would like to ask, my petitioner will be moving into a different States because of the nature of his work. We filled k1 visa this January, and the address that he used was his current one. He'll be moving on different state by March. I found out in some of website thread in regards to changing the address, USCIS tend to not really update it.

Could someone enlighten me and educate us about our issue. We will be planning to use his parents home address. Thanks 🤗

Update the address online in time (it takes 1-45 days to update). If it is his parents house, I would change it already so you won't get stuck with mail in the old address. He should receive a letter confirming the change of address within 45 days. If he didn't get that, you could call and they change it over the phone.

My fiance (petitioner) moved one month before our NOA2 and we've received all our mail in a timely manner and it was shipped to the new address. We "changed" the address on both new and old site.

About 2 weeks before we got approved. But,have in mind we didn't know when we'd been approved in that time.  If you haven't filed yet, I think is better to use his parents address as mailing address.

oh I see. he sent our packet on January 11th. I need also to wait for him to get back from his underway this February, he'll be living this Jan. 22nd. so we doesn't have any access for those time frame to have our NOA1 for the WAC# :(

I don't think you should worry, noa1 takes about a week and then you have to wait for noa2 which takes some time. You have time to update the mailing address.
