Is this normal and still within processing time frame?

Forgive me if I am asking the trivial questions here:

 

My wife came from Canada and we got married last April 2018. I did an AOS in May 2018. She received her EAD and AP in September 2018. However, there is no update on her I485. She did her finger prints way back but the case is only updated to say Fingerprint Fee Was Received. It has been almost 8 months. We are located in NY/NJ area.

 

What can I do at this point? Thanks

When I called it says its @ the Missouri office, which is odd to me.

when doing the I-485 from my understanding they are adjudicated at the MSC, once adjudicated I believe it goes on to your local office where the interview would take place

She entered in April and filed in May? Did she come in under K1 visa? Us Canadians don't need a visa to go to the US but we still have to adhere to the same visa rules, we cannot go in with the intent to get married and adjust status.

Immigrant intent is irrelevant since she is already in the US and adjusting status as an Immediate Relative of a US citizen.  

She's fine.

we got married in April. she entered in August 2017

What is your local office?

 

Newark is taking between 10.5 to 20.5 months for family based.

NYC is between 18.5 to 34 months for family based.

 

All offices seem to be taking longer and longer, but at only 8 months, you seem to be well within those timelines. Just be patient is my advice.
