I used the i485 form that expires on 6-30-2019 no 1615-0023. They are saying this form is outdated and to resubmit.

They are incorrect. The 12-13-2017 edition, which expires on 6-30-2019, is the most current version. You should resubmit. They make mistakes.

The forms do not expire.

 

It sounds like you used the current edition. Either they made a mistake, or potentially something else was incorrect (right payment amount? Payment made to the right name?).
