So, they replied after one month?

Did your case get updated during this one months or it got updated when you got the reply? I am asking this because i emailed them on January 7th, I got an update on January 8th but haven't got any response yet.

Yes, after one month. They updated my case January 15 and then when they emailed me on January 17, they updated my case again.

Salam to my fellow K1-visa applicants,

My case was sent from NVC to Kabul embassy about 4 months ago. And as it shows on ( visa status check site) the case was created on 12th Oct in Kabul embassy, then updated the status on 12th November to ( READY). It's been more than 3 months that the case was created, but I still haven't got notified for interview appointment. Anyone else in the same situation?

When did you guys get an appointment letter for interview from Kabul?

CEAc shows ready since yesterday.

I want to schedule his K1 interview using the NIV appointment system but I don't want to make a mistake.. he has already completed his medical and has all of our documents ready to go.

I think you need to wait for the embassy to notify you, but I might be wrong. If anyone else knows the procedure, please let us know. I am in the same situation, the case status has been on (ready ) since 12th November 2018  and still haven't heard anything from the embassy.

Good luck

Question for my fellow Afghan applicants:

Would it be a good idea to ask for my fiancé's passport back from the embassy? We're considering meeting in a third party country for a vacation, since my employer (government) won't allow me to travel to Afghanistan. I know taking his passport  would obviously slow down the eventual issuance process, but...we haven't seen each other in two years, and judging by the AP times, I don't anticipate the embassy will be needing his passport anytime soon.

That is, if I can get the embassy to respond to my emails. *there's no emoji to represent laughing through bitter bitter tears, but imagine it here* 😂

The embassy might ask for a police clearance of the third party country after you come back. But I am not sure. Don't wanna ruin your vacation beforehand. Just trying to help.

Walaykum Asalaam, I remember my case was sent from the NVC to the embassy and then 5 months later I got an interview date. I’m not sure how long others had to wait but this is what happened to me. Be patient and hopefully you will get a interview date soon!

Hi everyone! My husband’s case is a CR1 in AP at the kabul embassy. I’ve emailed them countless times, almost every morning😅, and I have yet to hear back from them. They have his passport but we haven’t gotten any information for almost 4 months now. Anyone else had any luck?

Hi! It usually takes the embassy a few days to reply to my emails but when I emailed them in December it took them almost a month to reply. They always reply with a generic email about AP so I haven’t really gotten any information either.

I know some people get responses and some dont and I’m not sure how the embassy decides who to respond to. Maybe just stop emailing them so often and wait a few weeks before you email them ?

I’ve heard it’s a good sign if they have his passport so hopefully  you will hear something soon!
