This explains a lot. And some people want to get rid of the electoral college allowing the least educated of our nation to decide the elections.

I actually took the time to read the article, there is no mention of California students being at the bottom for performance, this commentary was about the accountability and reporting plan not being effective or clear.

"In fact, the report ranked California’s accountability plan at the bottom, and gave it the lowest scores in two categories out of nine, calling the state’s new dashboard that tracks school performance complicated and incomplete."

Well, since you seem confused, allow me to help.

List of U.S. states by educational attainment

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._states_by_educational_attainment

Granted, it’s Wiki, so errors may exist.  But ANYTIME WV, GA, and AL beat you for people who graduated with a high school education, it is time to seriously re-think your strategy.

And in case you aren’t willing to read the article, it puts CA as #50 when it comes to HS education, with only PR coming in under them.

This one has CA @ #38 for quality rankings:

I was actually listening to a radio podcast from these guys on a talk show out in Los Angeles. They went over these same results and confirmed them as well. Since LAUSD is one of the worst school districts in the country with ever low performing students and graduates.
