Almost a month ago I picked up my passport along with the brown packet that I'm supposed to carry with me when I fly to the US. There's a small cut on one side of the packet, but I don't see any x-ray, just a bunch of papers. From my understanding there should be an x-ray right? Or is this packet enough?

At the time for your medical result collection , didn't they give you an X-Ray file  ?  your x-ray file normally been given by the hospital you did your medical exams  and together with your medical result .but you will keep the x-ray file and give the embassy the medicals result. And take the x-ray with you when travelling to the united States.

Xray is for your personal records.   It is no longer needed in the process

YMMV
