Filipino Community Santa Clara County (San Jose or Santa Clara)

Hello everyone,

 

is there anybody here a member of a Filipino community or maybe a Filipino group that sometimes do a get together, a party or something like that around the City of Santa Clara or San Jose.. I feel so bad about myself lol, I’ve been here for 6 months now and I still don’t have a friends (aside from my husbands’ friends) and I envy my friend in Oregon they have a Filipino Christmas Party. 

 

I just got my EAD, so January I will start working I may probably get and find my own friends, but having a Filipino friend is different.

May 23 to 29      -     Administrative Processing

May 29, 2018     -     Change from Immigrant Visa to Non-Immigrant

May 30, 2018     -     CEAC change to ISSUED

June 01, 2018      -     Passport with Visa on hand

June 04, 2018      -     SFO International Airport, Port of entry

June 14, 2018     -     San Francisco City Hall Wedding

 

AOS EAD AP

July 13, 2018     -     Sent  AOS, EAD & AP

July 26, 2018     -     PD

Nov 02, 2018     -     Case Approved

Nov 06, 2018     -     Card was mailed to me

Nov 07, 2018     -     Card was picked by USCIS

Nov 08, 2018     -     Card on hand

You can't find any Filipino friends in the bay area?

That would be like standing in the middle of Manila and not able to find a Filipino friend.

Hey don't feel bad! My friends are all local and got really lucky to have them. I wish I could tell you if there is anyone here and I may not even helpful right now but hope you find new friends. :)

Some of the best places to meet Filipinos is at Filipino grocery stores and restaurants. Any of these activities requires you to be the first to start the conversation. So don't be shy. Try and find where there are Filipinos living and then search for churches in the area. Also, hospitals are places for Filipinos work. Here you'll have to be creative in your search. I hope this has given you some ideas in where to begin looking for a new group of friends.

After spending more time in Manila, I feel sorry for the people who live there or are born there.  It's all about the money in that city, and how to get it no matter what it takes.  

 

I would rather grow up in the province than to grow up in Manila area

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

i dont have filipino friends here either lol but that is because i trust nobody..its so rare to find a real person/friend..so chose wisely and be careful with #plastic its very common to most filipino here in the US. 👍
