Friend of mine brought her fiancée and they are now married - they did cohabitate while in Morocco; sharing an apartment might have been easier for them because they were a same sex couple. It's not because it's against the norm that it doesn't exist. Homosexuality is present in all countries...

it is present in all countries

it is not the norm for islam countries

Same sex couples have been approved for a K-1 from every country (barring those with very minimal applications). It is against cultural norms in many countries - and even illegal with individuals being persecuted in some - but that's not the thing they will focus on for the visa interview.

A difference in religion in this manner is a different beast that may raise some serious scrutiny IMO.

a muslim man can marry a nonmuslim woman

Sorry but the USCIS it not a muslim based center, it's the US government and they process petitions regardless of religion and have full authority to accept or deny a petition if it doesn't meet the requirements and NOT religion.

Please preach this elsewhere where it's appropriate. Thank you.

Yes, but the USCIS only approves petitions.  It is likely that this petition would be approved.  The bigger issue is approval for the visa itself, which comes from the consulate.  Local cultural and religious norms do come into consideration at that stage of the process.
