Received Green Card Interview Before Work Permit

Hello! We received the notice for scheduled interview for Green Card (I-485) BEFORE work permit. Why is it in reverse? Weren’t we supposed to receive a work permit (I-765) first and then an interview for Green Card (I-485)? It’s been almost six months since we sent the application for request for work permit along with Adjustment of Status/Green Card

Why question why?  The GC makes the EAD work permit card obsolete, so focus on that. Also, the I765 was free anyway with the AOS

Good Luck on your GC interview!

It's apparently not that uncommon if your local field office is relatively fast and/or your EAD/AP application is running slower than average. As per the previous poster, don't worry about it.
