Can't schedule interview (Argentina)

Hi you all!! I'm in a tricky situation because I sent my P3 today, and I wanted to pay the visa fee and schedule my interview for a few weeks, and I was really happy because earlier in the day I saw that the first available date was on November 5th which was great for us. But now, after only 2 or 3 hours, it changed to December 18th. Is that possible? We're freaking out because we can't wait that long. Also it says my credit card is denied, I don't get it.

The Embassy's only open their calendar after the month that is currently open is filled. The next month won't open till they feel it's necessary. What you saw was a cancellation. I'd advise that you every few hours you check to see if there are any cancellations. Argentina and Nigeria calendars are FULL now and so lots of people having problems.

Oh i understand now. So November 5th was just a lucky spot that was open because of a cancellation. I'll check again today for a few hours. Thank you for the advice. Do you think like calling would be a good idea too to see if there's anything available? Thank you again!

No calling is not going to increase your ability to get a interview slot as the agent will have the same access as you for the calendar.

Thank you! One more question, in the page it directs me to the inmigrant visa, but I know there is a confusion about it since it's considered Non-inmigrant. What should I choose?

If your referring to the website to use to check your case status then you select immigrant.

 

The K-1 process is quite strange. For a time, it is both a non-immigrant and immigrant visa type. That is why the links (what you received in the email) will send you the process for immigrant which would be the I-864 and DS-260 even though it truly is a non-immigrant visa requiring I-134 and the DS-160. As you go through the stages, within the NVC system you look up your file under immigrant (ceac.state.gov/). It stays that way until after your interview and the approval and your visa is ready for issue. At that point, it changes over to non-immigrant. It truly is a non-immigrant visa with immigrant intent.
