filling out the I-129F (merged topics)

Hey everyone,

This is my first time getting advice on this site so please bear with me!

We are filling out the k1 visa form and there is a section asking for the beneficiary's name and address in their native alphabet.  Is this nexessary?

My fiancee is japanese.  I'm assuming the purpose of this section is for sending anything to the beneficiary that they need to but we give the address using Roman letters above it.  I have sent multiple packages and letters to Japan and Roman letters or Japanese symbols can be used to send mail.  So is it really necessary to rewrite in the Japanese alphabet?

I should also specify that when you look at her passport, even there they use Roman letters for her name so to me it seems redundant to put the address in Japanese characters when you can use Japanese characters or Roman characters to send mail to Japan.

Thank you!

You should fill out the form and give all the information requested, as requested. Uscis do not normally contact or send information to the beneficiary, they deal only with the petitioner.

It is not just about the address. It is about her real name. And in japan that is specified by kanji not with romaji.

fill out in japanese as requested.

Hey everyone,

I'm currently applying for a k1 visa for my fiancee.  It asks for residential and work history for the past 5 years.  I did an unpaid internship at one of the railway companies in Japan a few years ago and they had me stay in one of their hotels.  The internship was from the end of May until the end of July so a total of about 2 months.  This was a summer internship so I stayed with my parents before and after the internship until classes started again.  Should I put the hotel in Japan as my residential address or put my parents home as the residential address for that period of time?

Thank you!
