"Resident Since" date on Conditional Green Card

Hi, for all K1s who did AOS does the "resident since" date on your conditional green card, match your date of entry to the US?

The card's Resident Since date should state the date of the I-485 approval. That's when you became an LPR.

No it does not match the date of your entry. Listen to @geowrian and you will be fine.

Yup like both above. It's the actual AOS (I-485) approval date. Even if takes 2 years from time of entry to the US.

No. You’re not a resident when you enter the US. You’re only a resident when your adjustment of status is approved. That’s the start of your LPR status.

Here's what happened to my case...

When I first applied for I-485, the application was approved and they mailed me the conditional green card however, it has the wrong middle name so I filed an I-90 to get it corrected and replaced. The "resident since" date on the wrong card matched my date of entry so I thought they base it off of when you entered the US but then I received the replacement card yesterday with the correct name but this time, the "resident since" date printed is different. It does not match my date of entry to the US anymore but rather match my I-485 approval date (so I guess they corrected it too even w/o me requesting.) but that made me very confused now since the first card expires Dec 2018(which is 2yrs from the date I arrived in the US) and they actually sent me a notice to remove the conditions on my green card last month but the replacement card expires Feb 2020 (which is 2yrs from the date they approved my I-485) and if the "resident since" date must state the date of the I-485 approval, then I'm not due yet for removal of conditions.

Sounds like they made a second mistake that you didn't notice, then fixed it on the new card. The ROC notice is sent out automatically, so they probably updated it in their system now.

I hope they did update it in their system already but regardless, I have set an INFO PASS appointment for tomorrow just to make sure this won't cause any trouble in the future. I was just curious if anyone had the same situation.  Thank you for all the answers!

Go by the new card. The old card was all wrong.

Yeah thank you! my only worry is the ROC notice I received from USCIS.
