Hey everyone,

I applied end of Oct 2018, SRC, Waived bio in May, and REF  in August 2019 ( and responded in 2 weeks)

Now I just received bio appointment letter. I wonder is that usual to receive REF and then redo-bio ?

Thanks

Yes, the same thing happened to me, I redid the bio

@prok I just receive a new update after re-done bio. Yesterday status changed to "Fingerprint Review is Completed". This morning I receive ( again?) Request of Initial evidence was sent. No idea how this works.

they will send you a letter and explain what they need from you. You should submit evidence asap.

This morning I checked and my status on the app was changed to "Fingerprint Review Was Completed" as of October 29. I guess I was getting the error while they were updating the status or something.

I can see that most SRC are all getting Fingerprint letter appointment, after most were told their previous biometrics will be reuse. I got same letter too, done and now waiting for the approval.

It’s a bit strange but I am glad there is some progress.

Did you also get to see a notification of the letter about the appointment in the case tracker?

I am out of the country for another 4 weeks and I wonder if I could see somehow if I would be getting a letter. They told me if I miss the appointment because I am not there, it doesn’t matter, they will just keep sending it or I will have to make a new appointment. I tried signing up with usps for informed delivery but was not able to do it online so if I can’t see it anywhere, I will just have to wait....

I wouldn’t advise such, the letter about bio appointments don’t show on Case Tracker, if it were RFE that was sent, it shows. The best bet is for you to give them a call, with that you will be sure you are on same page with uscis. Because the bio appointment letter states that if you did not show up, it’s simply means you’d abandoned your case. USPS informed delivery can be easily set up, but even you do that now, it won’t reflect the passed missed mails. Bottom line , give USCIS a call with all urgency, a delay might be jeopardizing you status.

Thank you prok.

I tried to call but it seems impossible now to speak to a representative.

I dial the number, then 1  - 1 - 1 - but I don’t get the choice anymore to speak to a representative.

When we were at our local uscis center to get the stamp in my passport in December last year we asked about it (traveling and biometrics) and they said it wouldn’t be a problem. I would still like to know if they have sent me a bio appointment letter as it seems everyone at the SRC service center is getting those even though they did get the message about the biometrics being reused.
