Hello All,

I had my interview on July 2, 2019 at the Atlanta office. Below is my experience:

I arrived early and was told to wait until 30 minutes before my interview time to check in.

I went back to the desk at the right time and was checked in using my appointment letter. I was given a tag with a number on it and told to wait for my number to be called at one of the booths. The agent at the booth requested for my Green Card and appointment letter and asked if I had recent changes I want to add to my application. I told him we had a baby boy 5 weeks ago and I traveled outside the USA last November for two weeks. He wrote those details on a form and asked me to hand it over to the agent that will conduct my interview.

I was told to sit and wait to be called. Ten minutes later, another agent on the same floor called me and conducted the US Citizenship test. He asked the following questions:

#. When was the constitution written

#. What major event happened on 9/11

#. What are the first ten amendments of the constitution called

#. Who is in charge of the executive branch

#. What are two rights in the constitution

#. What did the Declaration of Independence do?

#. Why does the flag have 13 stripes

He then proceeded to ask me to read a question on a tablet. The question was:

#. Which state has the most people?

I said California and he told me to write my response on the tablet using a stylus or my finger. “California is the state with the most people”.

Next the agent told me to go to the second floor and sit in the waiting area to be called by the agent that will complete the interview session.

Moved to the second floor and I was called about 30 minutes later by the next agent. We go in to his office and he starts to review my file, which is on his desk with lots of papers. I pass him the form I received downstairs and told him I have two changes to report. Birth of my son and travel outside the USA for two weeks. He types the info in to his computer and asks for copies of the birth certificates of my two year old daughter and my 5 week old son, which he scans in to his computer. He also asks for our joint 2018 tax returns, which he scanned as well.

Next, he proceeded to ask the yes/no questions that I completed in the N400 application form when I applied last September. Once done, he said he was good with my application and will approve it. At that point, he noticed that the system had two entries for me. One with my First and Last name and another with my First, Middle and Last Name. He said the records need to be consolidated to prevent the system rejecting his approval. He said this is fairly common and he sees this regularly, pointing to a pile of files on a desk to his left with applicants with the same situation. While I was there, he went ahead and submitted the request to consolidate the records in to a single one that has my First, Middle and Last Names. He indicated it will take about two weeks to complete this process. Once done, I will get a notice and letter to attend the Oath Ceremony.

I finally received the notice on July 22, 2019 to attend the oath ceremony on August 5, 2019.

I attended the oath ceremony on August 5, 2019 and finally became a US Citizen. Yay!

It was a great event and everything took a little over 2 hours (8am to 10:10am)

While I celebrate the successful end to my citizenship immigration journey, I will like to thank everyone that contributes to this awesome forum and community. I appreciate all you do.

I do hope someone interviewing in the Atlanta office soon finds this post useful.

Thanks again to everyone here.

Congratulations! It's all over and now you can enjoy life as a US Citizen and never have to worry about your immigration status.

Hi!

So I had my interview this past saturday, August 10th. My appointment was at 1:00 PM but I was actually a bit late and arrived at 1:10 PM. i checked in and there were about 3 people there before me. I waited about 10 minutes and was called in. He asked me all the normal questions on the application. "have you ever been involved in criminal activities?", "are you willing to bear arms?"....etc and then he asked me the history questions. I don't remember all of them but I believe he asked me to name one of the two longest rivers in the US,The name of the current president, if the president cannot serve who serves after the president and what countries did the US fight in WW2? He then asked me to read "When is columbus day?" on his tablet and then had me write " Columbus day is in October". The funny things is, I had just SEEN the word Columbus and I know how to spell it but i was so nervous I spelled it Colombus and he acted like nothing happened so I said nothing lol. i also forgot to bring my green card with me.............Yes, i know, I was a disaster. He took my Driver's license and made me sign a paper that I was who I said I was and said it was fine if i didn't have my green card with me. He then said "congrats, you passed!" and asked me if I would like to be scheduled to the upcoming ceremony on August 23rd. I said Yes and he said that was the end of the interview. I was out by 1:40 PM. it was very quick, the officer was very personable and actually cracked jokes during the interview and I'm already scheduled for the Oath. All in all, a great ending to this veeeeery long process! Wish you all the best of luck!

Had my interview yesterday, Aug 12th in Tucson, AZ. I was among the 'lucky' ones whose case got transferred from the Phoenix office. Tip: they said they didn't just randomly pick up a batch of PHX applications to transfer to Tucson, it was all the southern areas (Not sure what that meant, but my friend who filed her application around the same time I did, had her interview and oath taking in PHX. She lives in northeast Mesa and I am from Chandler. Basically I am south of the US-60 and she is north. Go figure.)

My appointment was at 8am. Came in with my son but he remained in the wait area-- in case anyone was wondering if they can bring a companion. Got called by the officer into the interview room. He asked the expected questions, gave the expected instructions, made some smalltalk. He obviously reviewed some of my application snapshots PLUS previous files. He asked 6 questions for the civics quiz. English speaking/writing test also from the civics review material. He congratulated me and asked me to wait for the oath taking notice. Within 10 minutes I was called again along with 2 others and were given the oath taking information that will take place in Casa Grande, Aug 23rd.

How did your interview go? And were you able to figure out your online account?

She said it went great! I was in Los Angeles and was not able to attend. But she said essentially the officer asked her two or three questions, and since she was fluent, he didnt ask for anything else and approved her straightaway. Her oath ceremony is tommorrow. The end of a five year journey for us! Very happy!

Hi everyone,

sorry if this is not valid discussion in this forum.

just have a general question regarding change of address. if you have uscis online account , is it enough to just update your new address in your profile in online account.

Or there r AR-11 still needs to be filed either online or paper?

The reason I am asking it because doesn't allow you to pick two different forms from dropdown when you trying to do AR-11 online .I pick n-400 in one dropdown and next dropdown doesn't have i-751 to choose from.  same for n-400 if i opt to choose it in second dropdown.

i have n-400 and i-751 pending.

appreciate any reply
