Hello,

FYI

I early filled a case for N-400 on Sept.16th. My case was accepted on Sept.17th.

I received an alert on my I-751 case " Your case has been transferred to other jurisdiction...." on Sept.19th.

I was scheduled for a fingerprint appointment on Oct.7th

I went to my appointment with the appointment letter ( which I printed from my online account, because I did not receive it on time on my mail) with my expired GC and my Extension Letter. The security at the entrance was very rude and did not want me to get in the facility with an expired GC so he requested me to show any other valid document. (ID or Passport)

However, the Uscis agent did ask me to show her the extension letter, so I would recommend everybody to take it to the appointment.

Right now my online account shows that they have reviewed the fingerprints and that I don't need to do anything else at this time. And also says that the estimate time for this case is to be approved is 6 months.

Good luck everybody!!

Apparently, mine is an actual transfer. I originally filed at Texas Service Center and received the transfer notifications (e-mail, text) last week. My USCIS Case Status updated online (for the first time since I filed my petition) to reflect the transfer. I received a letter in the mail confirming that my case has been transferred to Potomac Service Center as part of standard processing.

Mine does not even mention the fingerprints. It is still saying we received your case. I have not seen it change at all, even after I did the fingerprints.

Thanks for your reply. It just was seeming like so many people were getting GC or movement with their cases!

Most of those who got GC are not in Texas but other service centers that have faster processing currently. Lot of cases were transferred due to submitting N-400 applications or to other service centers to help Texas with the load.

At 1:00 AM while we were sleeping, we got a text notification from USCIS that our case has been updated. We groggily logged in and were very excited to see that it was an approval notice! Woohoo!!! After being in the dark for so long at the Vermont center, this was a very nice surprise. Hang in there, fellow Vermonters! Things are happening!
