Hey,

I did not file N-400 yet; only ROC.

Please keep us posted, why they transferred your application to your local.

No update yet. Case active 1 year and 1 month today according to case tracking app. WAC number California service center.

I hope they will RFE before interview. I have collected a lot more evidence since filing the ROC. We have an apartment now with year lease, health insurance and we have a beautiful son now that was born two weeks ago. Im sure my evidence will support a strong case since my initial ROC evidence was pretty weak.

Hi everyone!

My case was received by USCIS on October 5, 2018. Biometrics completed back in November, 2018. So today I received an update that my case was transferred to my local office (NYC). Does it mean they will schedule an interview for me? Anyone had the same experience? As far as I know, most of the cases are approved without an interview nowadays.

Doesn't mean anything. Mine says the same. A month later it got transferred again. We are just stuck in transfer limbo along with a lot of other CA cases lol.

Great thread in terms of seeing where my fellow immigrants are at in the process - very helpful!

Personally I filed to remove conditions after divorce and things have moved along the process smoothly so far, received an RFE a few weeks ago and mailed my response back a couple of days ago (I managed to hit almost all of the requirements that they asked for). I assume it will take at least 3 days to reach the Nebraska service center (I reside in NYC) but I wonder if anyone is able to give any ideas on how long in general it takes them to deal with RFE's?

I know each case is very different and I dont expect it to be quick but at least an update to my online case status would be great - does anyone have ideas on how this small part of the process takes to update once they receive RFE responses?

there's not a rule of thumb for this one, ive seen people getting a response in a month, i just saw a lady who got a response in 6 days in another forum.

it will depend on the processing time of your case (office's processing time), remember they put your case clock "on hold" while they issue an RFE and get a response form you

I quit sending updates here awhile ago because people were copying the wrong one and leaving my update out. But I will offer some information about our recent progress:

We are being processed at the Texas Service Center; we got a notice on October 26th that we had to do fingerprints on the 29th. Fortunately, we were able to make it to the appointment. In May, we had originally received a notice that the prior fingerprints would be used. It feels like there was a policy change or that there is a "shelf life" rule on fingerprints that I am not aware of.
