Would a month be enough time to gather all the pictures and info needed for the I-130

Yes as long as there are no hold ups in your documentation.  I began familiarizing myself with the I130 and had it mostly filled out before we were married.  I had my application complete a few weeks later and sent it off.  The only thing I would be careful of is not to rush and make sure your paperwork is correct.   I made the mistake of forgetting a document I mailed it immediately after getting my NOA1 with a cover letter.   My petition was approved and I had no RFE but I may have just been lucky.

as others have said, it depends on what you already have, and what you need to get.

certified copies of documents can in some cases take time, as can obtaining police reports if you need to do that, or having items translated.

things like proof of relationship and being a bona fide marriage is the easy part (or ummm should be)

i 485, 130, EAD and AP

04/09/2019    NOA1 received/check cashed i 485 and 130 (direct adjustment)

11/7/2019      Interview- Norfolk

11/10/2019    APPROVED (notification rec'd 11/10, approval dated 11/8)

DONE FOR TWO YEARS!!! ;)

Filed everything ourselves with no RFE's or delays.

CR1 for Child under 21 (20 at time of filing)- Filed by LPR Spouse for his son

4/4/20     Mailed packet

4/12/20   NOA1 rec'd

10/14/21 (havent heard anything... when do i start to get worried?)

9/15/22 APPROVED! Now to wait for NVC and interview....

That's more than enough time. I got everything ready in like a day, but I didn't add pictures or chat stuff. Don't take too long, though. The whole process is long enough. Good luck!

Thanks. I already had everything I needed for the packet, so I just put it together and sent it in. That was in July 2017. I was approved after 7 months. Now I'm waiting for my interview to be scheduled.
