DS-160 Questions

My Fiance needs help filling out the DS-160, there is a couple of questions that we are not sure what to answer.

 

Mother's full name - this should be his mother's full married name, correct? For me, it should be, but he was saying on the videos he saw they didn't put their dad's surname on their mom's full name. 

Do you have any immediate relatives, not including parents in the US? (Help: Immediate Relatives means Fiance/Fiancee, Spouse, Child, Sibling) - Should this be "yes"?

 

Also, can he make a new DS160 form if he needs to make changes? He did the print and sign accidentally, without even uploading the picture.

Pretty sure you can fill out another DS-160. Not sure on the mother's full name, but I don't think you would put her maiden name on there. Immediate relatives would be by blood. Fiancée wouldn't count because you are not family, at least not yet. But if he has a sister or brother in the US I would put yes.

thank you! That's what I thought too about the immediate relative, but when I saw the note on the side that's why I got confused. Thanks!!!

Even the "official" guide that I have for the DS-160 gives no hint on the mother's surname .. I know when we processed we used her mother's married name.  (After all, the question does not ask for the mother's maiden name    )

 

Immediate relative  - YES ...  fiancee.

 

 

As for completing a new DS-160 .. YES.   If you need to complete a new DS-160 simple toss the old confirmation page, then when the new DS-160 is completed print out the new confirmation page .. bring that to the interview.

Correct answer to the 2nd question is NO (unless you have aunts, uncles or cousins in the USA)

Regarding....Mother's Full name.... The overall theme that everything follows...as I near the end of my visa journey is:

 

Name should be the one reflected on passports...and ID's... I have had to deal with this...as my Fiancee...has 4 names....making life difficult....hehhee.

Are we sure this is correct?  The official exam guide here shows checking both no on those boxes.  I just want to make sure we do it right.

Yes, that was our DS160, we put NO at first but then they clarified here that it should be YES lol and I asked people from the facebook page who has done their interview already. 

 

For that question, we ticked YES. Obviously, our Fiance/Fiancee will be done with their medical so they should have their vaccines at that time. I think? lol I am 95% sure with this. lmao

Ok thanks I am going to put YES. I think it should be YES.  I hate this whole DS-160 thing lol as it times out after a while and you have to go back in uggg.

Welp, my Fiance is doing it and I am just the one reviewing it thank God! lol but yes, just don't forget to save it every time you make corrections so you don't have to redo it again haha My Fiance did two DS160, he made mistakes on the first one. Seriously this DS160 I think it's easy but because it's an important document that sometimes we doubt our answers on some of the personal questions. Don't you think? lol

I'm doing it for my fiance and going to let her review and hit the the submit button.  The questions are easy, but a couple are tricky worded I feel like. So just want to make sure we answer them correctly.  I don't want to get this far and then they deny us because we were unsure on a question and answered it wrong or something.
