-------

A personal note:  Those of us who are finished with this infernal immigration process sincerely hope and pray for progress in your case.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

It's kind of ridiculous that we're needing a part II of the thread. I wonder why they're so backed up?

They have been speeding up in the last 5 days. I am going to estimate that by Sept 1st 75% of March 17 filers will be adjucated. Hang tight there is a GC with your name on it.

Yeah, I'm checking the Processing Time page every day for NE center where my case has been transferred, and the Receipt date for a case inquiry is moving slowly. (sometimes backwards though) Now it says they're working on March 5, 2017 documents...

I can't wait to see you getting your GC. At this point, I might get my GC before you  My oath ceremony is less than 2 weeks away. Hopefully, that might bring some luck to you

This morning, USCIS hid all the options other than VSC, CSC and All Field Options to look up the processing time on I-751. Grrrrr.

I have not been very active on VisaJourney, but kept an eye on progress of cases. In particular the I-751, since I'm a March 2017 filer myself. Hereby I wanted to share my I-751 experience so far, so others can learn what to expect and perhaps give hope to other March 2017 filers.

My original GC would expire on May 19th 2017, so we filed the I-751 on March 3rd 2017 and USCIS CSS received our case on March 6th 2017, with the first NOA (with extension letter) received on March 12th. I had my biometrics taken in Orlando, FL on April 18th 2017 and then a whole lot of nothing happened. Literally for a whole year we didn't receive any news. On April 9th 2018 we reported an address change to the USCIS and was processed the next day. We have moved and bought a newly constructed home. After that, things started to seem to ramp up. During the 2 days of June 18th and June 19th 2018 my case was transferred from California to Texas and received a notice of this action about a week later. On July 17th 2018 a RFE was send and we took action right away. Of course with a strong hold on our mortage, car finance, shared bank account, freshly renewed Florida ID's and other information being send back to Texas on August 8h 2018 and received by USCIS on August 13th. Just over a week a week later my status was updated to "New Card Is Being Produced" on August 21st 2018.

I have not yet filled for a N-400, however I will be enjoying this moment first and save some money before we proceed. I just wanted to share this with you all about my I-751 experience.
