Did you call them?

Yes. They gave me my receipt number. Checked online and it says NOA was mailed on 9/24 and "If you do not receive your receipt notice by October 24, 2018, please call the USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283".

I guess now I have to wait until October 24th to be able to do anything.

When did you call them? My check was cashed on September 26 and still NOA. I called them this morning and they said they don't see a new case filed in my profile. They said my case has not been entered into the system....:(

I called the USCIS and they told me our case wasn't in the system either even though my check was cashed on September 26 as well. However, the agent then looked up some another system and found our application and receipt number and gave that to me. She said the mailing system is having some glitches and it could be another few days before we get it, though she saw it was mailed on September 25th.

The kicker is that the receipt number isn't being accepted by their online case status system, so I'm not sure what to do. It starts with WAC by the way.

CORRECTION: The case shows up on the USCIS account site (https://my.uscis.gov/account/onboarding/track/new) but not on the "Check Case Status" link on USCIS homepage.

We are traveling internationally in a few weeks ... when my husband's GC would be expired. Here's what we did...

=======

My husband took an appointment at the USCIS office through infopass, brought a copy of the application for removal of conditions (I-751), his passport, greencard (that is expiring in a week), trip confirmation for upcoming international trips (flight itinerary), and check cashing receipt from the bank (showing that USCIS has our application money at the very least). They only needed the receipt of check cashing, greencard and passport. They took his greencard and put a 1 year permanent resident stamp in his passport, that serves as a greencard until we receive the real one. Should be able to travel easily with this stamp and NOA (if it arrives). But will take longer in immigration likely since you cannot go through the automated terminals without GC.

Whole appointment from entrance to exit (in orlando FL) was about 40 mins. 10 mins for appointment.

Suggest to take the UPS/USPS confirmation of delivery or tracking so that they can see when you shipped it and when it was received. Not 100% necessary, but useful.

Also - remember that you can't take big electronics into the infopass appointment, so bring printouts of everything and leave electronics in the car.

=====

good luck all!

I called them yesterday they gave me receipt number that shows invalid when I check status, but they also told to wait couple of weeks to get hardcopy of NOA. Receipt number doesn't because they haven't entered receipt number in their system as soon as they register receipt number in their system then you'll able to check your status and another thing they said that they have a lot of backlog that's why it's taking long.
