Guys,

 

    I noticed that when I logged into my account here on VisaJourney, it says that my case would possibly be adjudicated between the 13th to the 17th of August. My question is, are all K1 Visa applications "adjudicated"? Noa1 was like January 29th. Is this something to worry about? Please help out if you can, and thank you in advance!

Hi, this is the terminology. You send a petition to the USCIS, it gets adjudicated. (Approved or otherwise). Based on the timelines submitted by others users, VJ puts out an estimated date that your case (based on date submission) will be looked at.

06/30/2016 : I-129F Packet Sent

11/08/2016 : Interview - APPROVED!

11/23/2016 : POE - Dallas, Texas

From sending of I-129F petiton to POE - 146 days.

 

02/03/2017 - Married 

02/24/2017 - AOS packet sent

06/01/2017 - EAD/AP Combo Card Received in mail

12/06/2017 - I-485 Approved

12/14/2017 - Green Card Received in mail - No Interview

Visas are issued or refused. But what you sent was an I-129F petition. This is adjudicated. Adjudicated means they make a formal decision (i.e. approval or denial).

Every petition is adjudicated.

To everyone... Thank you for your kind words!

 

I thought as much, but I'm still new here, and I just wanted verification that I was correct (or at least I was hoping to be correct). I'm hoping to hear something very soon, even if they require a little more paperwork or evidence, that's at least forward movement.

 

We've been together for a year TODAY (We met 2017.07.28)! I'm hoping she'll be able to come here in October or November, but I'm planning on more like November. Either way, I'll wait, she's worth it!
