never received RFE they sent for i-130 spouse

hi all today we call USCIS to ask about our case why is taking too long surpriseeeeeeeee tier 2 officer told us that they closed the case because we never responded to Request of Evidence which we never received and never updated their system about Request of evidence, when we check case status online it says case was received, there is no Request of evidence on website case status i do not know why they do not update on website so we can know, we did inquiry on the phone tier 2 said we would receive in 2 weeks confirmation by email and mail, i checked case status just now i found this 

As of July 24, 2018, your inquiry about a Request For Evidence that you did not receive, referral number WKDxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, is currently not assigned for processing.

 

what do you think ?

RFEs must be followed through and the requested evidence submitted for review. If you did not get the RFE, did you clarify that they mailed it to the correct address?

Also, did the officer tell you what additional evidence was needed?

 

I'm sorry that they have you starting back from square one but somebody in the USCIS office seemed to have dropped the ball.

yes we told him our mailing address again, its correct and he did not say what RFE was needed, they will send confirmation by email and mail in 2 weeks, when i checked status online after we finish on the phone i found this update,

^^^ This is because they touched the case today so they have to update what they did with it....

Did the officer confirm if USCIS ever mailed out the RFE to you??

 

I know you said he told you one was issued but was one mailed out?

yeah he said they mailed it out but we never received it, so they are resending another one, is there any other way i can get it by fax or email ??

You will have to wait until they mail it out to you. Keep checking your case update to see if they change it to Request For further Evidence mailed out or something to that effect.

This happened to me as well when I was at the uscis stage, the only difference they did not close my case yet when I called. My husband had moved and uscis had not updated the new address. They assigned an officer for processing after about a week to the case and resend the rfe with a new date. Keep checking the new website for updates so that you can see when they send it. Make sure uscis have the correct address on file.

thank you very much, they are resending new one to mailing address, he said we should have confirmation in 2 weeks so we are keeping eye on it, mail and email also we check case status everyday so we do not miss nothing...

u r lucky they decided to resend it / understand they give a limited time to respond so be on the ball with answers to query and PROOF of those answrers

give them a good email ID as they will send notices that things like RFE's are coming in the mail/ and the notice from NVC whe u get to that stage can come ny email

incha allah u will continue the process\\

BTW   they are slow and bad with case updates

thank you very much for your support thats what tier 2 said they will send notice confirmation when they mail the RFE in 2 weeks my wife she gave them her email address so all notices she will receive it, she currently residing me so hopefully inshalah we go both to united state together

Sign up for informed delivery through Usps so you don’t miss anything. Every piece of mail from USCIS we are always able to see them through informed delivery before getting it so we know to be home for that.
