OK, death is a little too far.

Really, Dem's have to get away from overreacting to every dumb thing Trump does, 'cause you know it's coming, and it's just going to be something more dumb the next day. It's kind of like when I see a parent arguing with a 2 year old. You expect one to behave that way, and the other just looks dumb just for engaging in that behavior.

I completely agree with you on this which is weird to say the least.

I don't know that it's weird though, because it's true.  Most people probably wouldn't succeed doing things the way Trump has done them, but Trump actually pulled it off. He can keep doing it that way, and he can get away with it. People are still caught up in trying to explain why when the answer doesn't really matter. No one on this earth is going to beat him at his own game. I think the constant over reacting to the way he is doing things is just playing his game.

If the Democrats want a shot at winning in 2020, they need to take it in a different direction and they need to do it soon.

You are completely right... they are still caught up in 2016 and supposed Russian meddling if you call fb posts and disinformation meddling.

They need to put forward a plan beyond resistance if they want to have any chance this year.

You are absolutely correct.  The over-the-top reaction we are seeing is really laughable and honestly quite childish

As childishness goes, it's like that old saying. Trump will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.

If it was me, I would focus on the millions of voters who would never vote for Trump but couldn't vote for Hillary either. The dems need those people to show up in 2020. First they need to give them a reason.

Not sure the Dems are giving them the right message with their somewhat open stance regarding open borders as well as the rising popularity of socialism in their base.

Btw, why is death a little too far?  Many of the respected pundits and congress folks on the Left are calling Trump a traitor, and I believe the death penalty is an appropriate penalty for someone convicted of treason, so why not pursue it via impeachment?

  Theoretically speaking?

I believe the death penalty was abolished for treason. Even in the past though, is was not automatic.

OK, still possible, but not automatic.

Nope, not automatic, but considering that Trump is the absolute worst person on the face of the earth according to many, and he has now invited Putin to the WH to most likely hand over the keys, I assume death would be too good for him.
