Back pain worsening, and middle abdomen pain, still. ARGH!!! Sometimes it just gets old yanno...I mean, I'm only 34!!!!

Craig & I had to go to the pain clinic today..my back dr. wanted to do another epidural on me...so, that was big fun. Going to lay down and rest soon...I just hope it does some good this time. I've had 3 in the past without a ton of success...a week at most.

Gall bladder turned out (Monday ultrasound) to have no stones...I was really surprised...everyone here, and docs there, from the symptoms really figured that to be my problem. The technician said I may have to go to nuclear medicine dept. next when they inject the equiv. of a fatty meal to see how the gall bladder responds....so...we'll see. I guess that might be next, but not sure yet....have to go to my regular doctor soonish. I'm just tired of all the doctor ####### for now...and on top of it, I'm looking for work. A couple of good prospects, but nothing yet. Great to be finished with school for now, but now I'm *ready and willing* to work (tho am worried how my back is going to respond!!) and can't find anything decent. If I don't get in somewhere by Monday or Tuesday, I'm going to have to just take "whatever" like waitressing, etc. (always plenty of places around here hiring for those kind of jobs) until I can get an office job. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Thanks, I needed that. M. :P

Abdounjen,

Possibly piriformis entrapment of the sciatic nerve. See a deep tissue massage therapist.

Physical therapists usualy do exercises, ultrasound etc. but not trigger point relase.

Caused by too much sitting, standing or bending over.

iiiiiiiinteresting. yah at the therapist all i did was exercises, ultrasound, and some high intensity thing she rubbed all over me that hurt sooooooooooooo bad. is that what you were describing? it was like an ultrasound but only hurt in certain areas she rubbed on.

maybe i developed this from standing too much all day. i never had this before and the last few years has gotten worse and worse. and i feel so uneven when i walk. ugh.

abdounjen, physical therapy, chiropractic and massages have all helped me tremendously. Have you tried a chiropractor? Or better yet, planned your getaway vacation?

I have been a massage therapist for the last 10 years and your symptoms seem to be

what I decribed above. I also work in partnership with a Chiropractor.

I advise you get the deep tissue massage, the treatment will be uncomfortable but in

4-6 treatments it should be gone. No pansy massage ....only deep tissue, rubbing lightly

over it won't do anything. So make sure it is a knowledgeable therapist who can facilitate

the muscle release and knows his/her anatomy.

Ask questions if he/she is familiar with this treatment and if they have been succesful.

Awww Michelle! I'm sorry :( you poor thing - I hope the epidural does some good - after all, it's not nice to have a big fat needle stuck in yer back if it does not good at all! GREAT JOB with school - I am ever so proud of you *beams*.

I myself have been embroiled in a court case all month and have to compose a victim impact statement to read in front of the court at sentencing. So that's made me a really happy bunny - NOT! Therefore I am a b%tch on the prowl at the mo, and have just left a response in the gun thread that I know perfectly well is snappy, and probably inflammatory. but do I care at this point? Nah!

Hehehehe...*runs away*

hugs to you Michelle - you deserve them! (F) (F) (F) (F) (F)

They may have been busy doing one or all of those things to notice it yet. Maybe when they're finished, they'll give it their attention.

I'm sorry Michelle!

I can sort of relate, though mine is not as bad! I know, I think geez I'm only 26! I have arthritis in my ankles, which only bothers me after walking or standing a lot. Then I had heel pain recently(plantar fasciitis) and a few days ago I started getting an ingrown toenail. My feet have had enough!! Thankfully the ingrown toenail isn't bad after all, just very slight and I think it's going away now after some fiddling with it (ew, right?). I also was having some sciatic pain recently. And how will I be when I'm old! :o

I hope you start to feel better, having back problems is really hard to deal with I'm sure! And I hope they can figure out what's up with the pain you were getting that they thought might be your gallbladder. Praying for ya!
