It took mine 2 days to show up under documents and a week for an actual letter to get to my mailbox.  But I have seen some people said theirs took 3-4 days to show up under documents.

 

That is a really long drive to get biometrics done, I hope you get the letter soon though!

Where do you live? If there's an ASC near you, you can go there and explain your situation, they'll let you do biometrics.

They're pretty generous with biometrics regarding time and location. I did walk in 2 weeks early showing my printout appointment, they accepted it.

For some reason, as of recently, even some people who filled via paper receive IOE designation. In my case I downloaded their form and filled it out in my computer, then mailed the form in with a cheque. My receipt number started with IOE.

 

I don't know whether my method of filling it out (e.g. typing it as opposed to filling it out with pen) had any effects on this, but the same was true for the rest of the people who applied in my family.

Citizenship Journey:

 

(Month 1)-   N-400 sent: 12/20/17

(Month 2)-   Fingerprints: 01/11/18

(Month 8)-   Interview: 07/30/18

(Month 9)-   Oath Ceremony: 08/23/18

 

Officially a U.S. Citizen!

I hope so too. It has been about a week now & I don't see it yet in the documents tab. Well... hopefully it does become available soon.

The closest ASC is in Fargo, ND about 300 miles from where I live. I need to take 2 days off from work, which is why I want to know the date asap for planning purposes at work. I am not being impatient 😁 BUT... just want to know the date so that I can plan my time off needs with my employer.

Hello fellow August Applicants,

 

I’m new to this thread and it’s been awhile since I use VJ. Could someone please help me to fill outy timeline with quote? I’m not exactly that tech savvy, thank you so much in advance!

 

I filed my N-400 online based on over 5 years residency on 08/06, they cleared my payment the same date and  I received my Biometric appointment scheduled for today (30th) on 8/10.   My estimate moved from 16 months to 14 months right away after done. 

 

I just used the receipt number to check online to see if there is any updates for my biometric as it has faster updates than the actual website. And I got a message told me they just scheduled my interview.  I’m not sure the date yet but will be coming back for update once the notice is available online.

Filed online on 8/20 and still no biometrics appointment. Called the 800 number spoke with Level 2 officer and they were not able to locate my application. #######? Online case status says "We received your application" and its been like this for almost 10 days now
