You guys are taking the transfer to Nebraska as a negative, I’d suggest this is a positive development. First, the processing estimates are not accurate at all. Second, cases being transferred to Nebraska are getting processed in 2 months and possibly less. On reddit, there used to be a Nebraska officer that used to answer questions. From his explanation Nebraska is efficient, more so than the other centers. I’d suggest looking at the Nebraska or LIN thread. There is some good news there, I’d expect to see more good news soon.

Not necessarily without understanding what kind of systematic methods Nebraska Center uses.

Nebraska, in general, takes the most immigration benefit cases, yet their staffing is not full as much as all the other centers.
I remember the officer in subreddit, and would have tons of specific questions to him, but I believe he is gone now.

No need to be in despair or anything, but I am sharing one of my post that analyzed staffing and how many other immigration benefits application Nebraska takes as opposed to CSC, VSC, and TSC. I do have to partially agree with you that Nebraska really catches it up somehow because I see Nebraska filers get approved fairly quickly, but it is not reasonable that the fortunate processing will come to any other cases.

I haven't received the letter in the mail yet, but I also got the USCIS notification stating that a transfer had taken place and that a new office had jurisdiction over my case.

I'm a CSC filer, and this is the most recent update that I see at present: "On May 20, 1019, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number [XXX], at your local office."

I'm waiting to have my naturalization interview scheduled. When I filed N-400, I requested to have the two cases decided at the interview, so I understand it's right for my local office to have the case now.

If I receive the letter and it says something different, I'll let you know!

How can you ask them to have both interviews together?

When I filed the N-400 petition, I added a letter requesting, among other things, to have the two cases decided together at the interview as this website states.

Xillini what’s the evidence you’re using to say ‘fortunate processing’ is not reasonable for others?

I see some approval for LIN from early March and April, but without understanding how exactly LIN works more efficiently, it should not be expected that anyone in LIN will get approval faster than CSC or VSC since LIN takes more immigration benefit cases with fewer staffs. It could be lucky day for one LIN filer, but it could be long frustrating years for many LIN filers, I meant.

I guess we will find out soon enough, and perhaps I am wrong and being too optimistic. However,  as you have read the Nebraska officer's posts on reddit (since then deleted) you probably know that Nebraska has embraced technology a lot faster than the other processing centers and is at the forefront (relatively) to adapting more efficient processes. In fact, Nebraska has frequently sent officers to other service centers to make them more efficient. Fewer employees (not necessarily case officers) does not mean that they are less efficient. Secondly, it is not just about a few cases. Cases that were transferred to Nebraska from other service centers before March and April were processed within two months.

I am a July 2018 filer as well (my first post) - I will make sure to update my profile this week.

I know only of one July case (Vermont) that was filed on the same date as I am (7/19/18), that was REF’ed and approved by February 2019 (lucky!!).

I realize that does not go along with the typical wait time (+1 year).

Anyway for my case, old website - “USCIS cannot provide update...etc”

New website - “Case received”

last automated email - “no update and we last took action on April 4, 2019”.

called many times to ask about the April 4th “action” - haven’t learned anything new.

I will call again this week and try my luck for a “tier 2” officer as all my calls were with tier 1.

best of luck to all!!
