waiting for case # and invoice #

it’s been 3 weeks now but our nvc case # haven’t assigned yet..nvc received our case 5/29/18 and i called everyday but they telling me to wait 8 weeks to be processed ..how long does nvc assigned a case #?

Took mine 6 weeks from NOA2. Some users are reporting around 8 weeks, and some others 10-12. Hard to say, they're not very consistent. But definitely more than 3 unfortunately.

Mine came through e-mail and snail mail. I had listed both my (petitioner) e-mail and my wife's (beneficiary) e-mail on the I-130 and the NVC automatically entered those and sent us the case number by e-mail on the day it was created. Then a few days later we received the paper notice in the mail.

 

From what I've read here, not everyone gets the e-mail automatically like I did, so calling periodically can still be very helpful.

We waited more than 11 weeks for our case number. After 8 weeks it was forwarded to supervisor. When the case number finally came, we got e-mail with both numbers and instructions what to do next.

Ours took 8 weeks and 2 days. I called everyday on the 7th week and they kept saying to call after the 8 weeks ( last Friday 6/15 was our 8 week mark). I called Monday and they asked if I wanted the case to be sent to supervisor and I said no that i'd give it a few more days. Called on Tuesday and got our case number, still no email or mail.

Same here ..case was received 5/29/18

Called every week was told  the same "8 weeks.."

They are taking their time, mine arrived 1 day before the 8 weeks!, Keep calm, the process once you get it moves fast but, but, slows down again after you pay the fees and send them the papers, they take their time (again) to review them).

It´s frustrating but, what else we can do?
