Her uscis case number shows that Nebraska processed her petition and sent it to NVC for further processing

Yes, I see that.

She quoted her lawyer talking about the consular officer, though, so I just wanted to make sure they're not going straight to the consulate. OP seems to be pretty much in the dark about how the whole process works and needs to get educated. And get in touch with her lawyer asap. Seems like they've been left hanging.

The lines seem to be blocked right now. If you don't get through, try again late tonight or early tomorrow when they open their phone lines. (Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight EST.)

Okay I'm lost.  Are you in the USA right now?  What forms were filed?

Sorry for didn't give uptades yesterday.

I called to USCIS yesterday and they said only my husband could know about the case, with lucky my husband had just arrived of his work.

They ask to my husband to call on this morning to USCIS Level 2 because my case isn't there anymore.

Okay.  Then you call the NVC during open hours to get your case number and move forward with that.

My understanding is that you used a lawyer to file your case, why not have your lawyer follow up on the current status of your file since you called NVC and they said it is not there. You paid for the service and should get your money worth.

...do good and good will be done onto you...

With sure, you're right Binna.

The laywer is following up my status, but she needs the NVC case number in order to continous my application.

So she hasn't been working on your case at all since January, when USCIS supposedly sent it to the NVC, until you told her you're getting worried? Sheesh!

Were you able to find out where your file is located right now?

Guys,

I found my case. It was in NVC since January.

I called to them yesterday and they have already generated my case number and Invoice ID.

I sent to the lawyer to go on. If I weren't argued it, problably I will lost the case or something.

I'm so greatful to you guys that helping me with it.

You should get some refund from the lawyer.

Definitely, and/or ditch her entirely. I can't believe she let your case languish for five months (and is probably billing you for it too)! That's insane.

If she's going to prepare your NVC documents for you, be sure you and your spouse double check *everything* before submitting them.
