I'm still here. 5 months and no news  I did apply for N400 in June and USCIS online says 'December 2019' as the date of completion, so I'm hoping to get some news.

I had applied for ROC back in June 2018 to the Vermont office. In mid-May 2019 my case was transferred to Potomac. Since I never heard anything by early July 2019, I went ahead and applied for Citizenship while the ROC was pending.

o   Applied for Citizenship (N-400) online on 7/4/19

o   Received biometric appointment notification for Citizenship – notice date 7/5/19

Goodluck all. Happy to answer any questions anyone might have about my experience. I’d encourage anyone still waiting for their 10yr green card to go ahead and apply for Naturalization as it seems to speed things up (at least in my case).

Wow your time like is almost exact to us. So wish we were in a faster state. But Texas nope. Extension expires in December would love an interview or a 10 year green card.

Me. Really we filed May 21, 2018 got NOA1 dated June 12th. File -400 May 21, 2019.

Has your file been moved again to the local office or is it still at Potomac? It would seem to me that it would be moved to the local office for the N-400 process since that requires an interview. I hope you hear something soon.

Surprised they haven't transferred your case from Potomac to start processing your N400. Have you managed to try sending case inquiry for I-751 after all? Although they keep changing the processing time in the end of the month so I don't know if it's worth a try.

We're still waiting. Was requested for more evidence.... that shows joint ownership of assets and communal residence throughout the conditional residency period... which I am so uncertain as to what to send in... HELP!!

 

I can send copies of taxes to show length of time filing together.

 

The bank doesn't have a confirmation of WHEN my husband was added to my account, only that we are both on there now and in good standing... any suggestions?

 

We just bought a house so we can include that, but should we find copies of apartment leases from 3 years ago too?

 

We are both on the same insurance plan, would a copy of the insurance card be sufficient? 

 

But is all of this enough? We have no children together yet, so I don't know what to do.

 

I AM SO LOST AND OVERWHELMED!!!

I see you got RFE back in August, did they send you another one?

I'm not sure what you've submitted in the first place but as for the things you mentioned,

 

- copies of the federal and state tax returns including the relevant attachments such as W-2 from the beginning of your marriage

- copies of bank statement with both of your names listed on the account 

- copies of joint lease agreement from the beginning of your marriage

- any kind of insurance, probably a good idea to include more than just a copy of the card so it shows the coverage, beneficiary, etc

 

Sorry I can't be more of a help. Perhaps someone who's received RFE can help, or you can probably search on this website or start a thread to find more useful info.

I woke up to find a case status update email this morning and it says 'card/document production'! Status update only happened on the old site but the new one still shows info from June 4th (even though the email tells you to go to myUSCIS account to see my case history). I hope this means I'm approved?

Question for those of you that applied for N400 with I-751 pending: my last status update for I-751 was transferred to NBC ("another office has jurisdiction") but I just got N400 scheduled for an interview (waiting on date details, assuming at local office) - has anyone had issues getting both I751/N400 adjudicated together (since mine seem to be at 2 different locations I assume?). Do you call USCIS to make sure they can be done together, or is this automatic?

 

I'd hate to show up to the N400 interview and them not be able to process it because I-751 is someplace else.

No need to call. Not all are combo interviews. You will have N400 and they will tell you until I751 approved this is on hold. It's usually pretty fast.
