Can anyone tell me if is a good ideal for my wife to get a life insurance and include my name, even though my interview is less than 2 months to go?

Just to let you know a fair number of reputable companies will not insure someone that is out of the country.

You can do that for sure. They have $10k policies for cheap

Thanks. Will only life insurance enough or should she add 401k to it?

Doing both is better.  Doing it sooner would have been far better.  A token amount of NEW life insurance is really not helpful.  A change of beneficiary shortly after you were married, on both her 401k AND an existing life insurance, (Employer Group insurance and/or personal policy) would be what people in a bona fide relationship would have done.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

This is what I did. I had to hound my life insurer (given through my employer) for a letter showing my husband and my mom listed as my beneficiaries, with 75% going to my husband.
