The applications numbers for 2018 Q1 are out and here is what I found.  Hope you find the statistics as useful as I did.  The pace on how forms are being processed are increasing.

Where did you find this data? Do they have it for I-485's?

This is where the information was posted.  It does have a breakdown of all the form types.  You just have to sort it out.

Still more than 1.3 million I-130s pending at the end of 1st Qtr (Dec 31, 2017)...and more than 215,000 ROCs pending.......not too good, imo.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

The offices are crazy backlogged. I had an Infopass appointment today and the IO basically blamed the Trump administration, saying it was a reactionary event in that because a large focus of his campaign was focused around illegal immigration (dunno why the panic with legals) people figured when he won that they should try and get right with immigration.

The increase started long before President Trump was even the Republican candidate..........we started the process back in April 2016, and numbers were increasing even back then, too...........Now we'll have to file an I-751 within a year.......I just don't see a big improvement any time soon....

Wow, thank you for sharing that. The number of forms received far outweighs the number of forms processed each quarter. Pretty grim looking for future wait times (as if it isn't already long enough).

Its unsustainable long term. The new processing times they’ve just rolled out, to me, is just a way that can let applications run for close to two years and claim it’s standard processing times.

But you have to admit Missileman that after the election things got crazy immigration wise. That is when we started seeing all the "How to AOS and how file a 601 waivers".  But if we saw the uptick here VJ then I am sure USCIS has seen it as well.
