My fiance and me live relatively close to the border; 25 minutes away from each other. We see each other once or twice a  week and just wondering if photos will be enough as proof of meeting. We don't really have flight tickets but have an abundance of photos that can easily be spread across 2 years.

Do you think they actually look at the address and cross reference it with our ease of meeting?

Also do hotel itineraries even work as evidence? We have had a couple of times where we have booked a hotel but it only shows 1 person's name and we don't have a photo specifically at the hotel.

Thanks!

You may want to look to money being spent in each other's city from bank or credit card statements.

I think the proximity is taken into consideration.

I don't know for, but they may access CBP crossing data.  Or you could request it as a FOIA.  This came up before, I'll see if I can find the question and whether the timeline shows what happened.

@bakphx1 The border crossing information would be useful thanks! I'll see if I am able to get it. And thanks for the link! I'll check it out right now.

@Alabamak1 I'm crossing from Canada and also no passport stamps. How would I present credit card payments? Just some screenshots of bank statements with purchases on their side? Would I have to specify the purchases since it doesn't exactly prove we met. Thanks!

Well, it actually is a combination of things. Receipts, events with your name on it, for that matter take a picture of a newspaper with clear date on it 🤣

@Aqbui joke aside... I showed credit card statements highlighted of me being overseas, and for that matter just say you crossed the border. CBP maintains a database of border crossings for Canadians. Mention the dates. They have it.

Good to know! Maybe we will start taking selfies and such with a newspaper! Should've done that the past 2 years :P

Does the part about making 2 copies of the package apply to the proof of 2 years? Should I be printing 3 copies of each photo, 1 for the I-I29f and 2 for copies of the package?

What you want to do is have copies of whatever you file. One for yourself for later review before interview, one that you file with the I-129F and one in the cloud, which is how we did it.

I gave another thought for proof of meeting in the last 2 years prior to filing I-129F....do Canadians have to do a I-94 at the border crossing? That is proof you met him.  https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/home you can maybe retreive your entries to the USA here possibly

Nope, we don't have to fill out an I-94. Currently what I have as evidence is just general photos of us together. Some photos are from events that we have booked hotels and ticket events for. They're only under one name though but I'm hoping that if it's presented with the corresponding photos it'll make sense. Hoping an abundance of photos scattered across the dates is good enough.
