10 months ago?  Are you sure they didn't send a request for more information that you either didn't receive or you didn't respond to?  That is well beyond the normal processing time.  You should try to contact them or get a Congressperon/Senator involved because something seems very wrong here.

EDIT:  I believe cases expire after 1 year at NVC if you haven't responded to a request by them.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Hi,
No, 28th june is the date that our case was recieved by USCIS. Our case got transferred to NVC around January and we received NVC case number on 10th of April. Now we are to submit the documents electronically. So my question is how long would it take for NVC to process them and send us an interview date.

They are really fast now. Pivot cases take between 1 and 7 working days usually for case complete. As for interview date, I know they schedule in the first and last weeks of each month, but exactly when your interview date is depends on your embassy's load.

Oh, OK.  My mistake.

???? It took you four months to get a case number from the NVC?  Why did it take so long?  It is usually within weeks.

It takes about 3 weeks for a case closed ..

Your interview is scheduled at the beginning of the next month.

The interview date will be about 1 month from the date they scheduled it.

Since beginning of this year, it's been taking them a long time to generate a case number. Pivot cases are taking up to 12 weeks to get a case number!
