Did a search on this, and didn't find much.  The wife and I had a joint I751 interview prior to her N400 interview.  I thought both were approved, but Monday we received a notice that the I751 was transferred to the NBC in Missouri.  Does anyone have any experience with this?  The N400 status is still showing approved awaiting oath scheduling.

Was the I-751 scheduled by them or did you guys made and InfoPass appointment?

Also how long did it take for the case( I-751) to be approved once it was sent to NBC?

Btw 3 month turn around for N-400 is unbelievable. Congrats!

Thanks.  We never received a notice regarding the I751 interview, but based on what I have read here, I suspected they may conduct an interview for the I751 when my wife had her N400 interview so I made sure I was able to attend.  After we received the notice of the I751 being transferred to NBC, it was about four weeks before we received the approval notice.

So your I751 was at the NBC before the approval showed up?

Does that mean NBC is approving apps?

That is what I don't know.  The NOA saying it was transferred to NBC was dated 4/11/18 (NOA received 4/17/18) a day after the N400 interview (4/10/18) where we also had an I751 interview.  Thus I inferred that the Detroit Office IO sent it to NBC, however I know the IO at Detroit clearly had the I751 package as she had it on her desk during the interview.  Therefore I don't know if the I751 went from CSC to Detroit to NBC, or from CSC to NBC to Detroit.  The other interesting tidbit is that the online site now has a message regarding fingerprints when I check the WAC number from the initial NOA of the I751, I still get the Fee Waived message from the other WAC number, so even though we have a paper NOA saying the I751 has been approved, the online system is still messed up.

Husband and I had our I-751 interview on April 18th, 2018. We applied for his ROC on August 15th, 2016 and it took that long to move forward! Was hoping to receive an approval/some kind of final decision but got a notice today that our case is also being transferred to NBC. How frustrating! Don’t even know what this means! :-( Guess we’ll just pray and keep each other posted...

Did you apply for N400

if its any indication they transferred a bunch of Files to NBC. Many are assuming so that NBC preps them for interviews but since your case is backwards, my guess is they prepped NBC for a bulk transfers so that they can approve them there.

Will see with time. You past the hard part.

I had pretty strange experience. I had combo interview with name change request (wife’s presence was not needed) on 04/11 and was told that my I-751 is being approved. 2 weeks went past and no change in my application status. So I raised service request online and at the same time booked infopass appointment for 05/08. After one week someone was assigned on my service request and got the response via email that my case is still under review :bonk:. Anyway I still attended infopass appointment on 05/08 to see what is going on. I was told that some background checks were still pending on my both applications:ranting: (I still have a hard time to fathom that!). Guess what, on same day evening I started getting flurry of text/email I-751 notifications that my case is being transferred and new office has jurisdiction. I was really confused as to why my I-751 file is being moved out to new office from local office. But finally on Saturday I had two mails came together from USCIS (Potomac and NBC). Potomac mail (Notice date is 05/08) said that my I-751 is being moved to NBC. While NBC mail (Notice date is 05/09) said that my I-751 is approved! I checked the notice date for both mails. There was only one day difference.  So USCIS just adjudicated my application within one day of transfer notification?? Certainly not if you ask me. I believe local field office adjudicated my application but must have asked NBC to send out the decision letter. So you @Bill & Katya should get your decision soon enough too!

@Ozgirl1981  My guess is that Potomac service center already adjudicated your application and now asking NBC to issue a decision letter. Certainly it is a whole lot different game when I-751 is pending with N-400 unfortunately. Very hard to predict anything.... I hope you get your decision before N-400 interview!

Removal of Conditions
09/06/2016 Sent I-751 package to CSC

09/09/2016 USCIS received package
09/13/2016 Check cleared
09/15/2016 NOA1 hard copy. Date 09/09/2016

04/11/2018 Combo interview with N-400

05/10/2018 I-751 approved!

Glad you got your approval. Seems very like even USCIS don't have a clue as to what they are doing with transfers.

I really hope my ROC can get approved before my interview. Having a early morning appointment may give me the chance to have same day oath ceremony so I can be done with this whole 6 year immigration journey.

Thanks for your information.

Thank you. I hope we are just as fortunate as you have been! After reading the comments from everyone who is going through something similar, I feel more hopeful. It just felt very strange to have our case transferred from our local Los Angeles office to NBC... But I guess that's how things are being done right now. I wish we would have applied for my husband's N-400 at the same time like the rest of you did. The thought of going through yet another immigration process makes me feel a little sick right now after all the suffering of I-485 and I-751 - LOL!
