Sorry but some people get their EADs quickly and others don't. It's only been 4 months since you filed so I'd say to wait another 1-2 months before getting really worried. I'm an Aug 2017 filer and still don't have my EAD.

Did you called them and request to expedite your case? You should have any updates by now

Well we got an RFE on Feb 1 and they received our response March 19. I have contacted the ombudsman and my senator and that was two weeks ago. I am thinking of calling them tomorrow but honestly, I'm also just at the end of my rope with them.

Just so you know
If your husband leaves the country without Advance Parole Document (AP), then his GC application will be considered abandoned and you all have to start the visa process all over again

I know that, thats why im saying it. I agree if he wants to leave because is either that or we starve and be homeless with a newborn baby.

I think you can always call earlier or schedule an appointment if possible, maybe somebody will be more helpful?

Today, after I read some stuff on Visa Journey, I realized you could ask your Congressman to help about EAD. Some people got a lot of help that way!

How long depends on how fast your local office is-
Unfortunately, the Turnaround here seems to be from a few weeks to a year.
Average is maybe 5 months from then to interview?
