The last ime my wife was here in the U.S. she was 6 years old. She and her family all had "BORDER CROSSING" cards. (Im guessing they were a travel visa?) Their cards expired and never came back to the U.S. and never renewed the cards.  Luckily her mom still kept these cards, so my wife stills has her card from when she was 6 years old. Does any of the information on the card need to go in part 4 - 45-52??

- Personal check of $535

- I-30 complete application.

- G-1145 for e-notifications.

- A copy of my naturalization certificate. (Do I have to send the original)

- A copy of my birth certificate along with a certified translation into English. (Do I have to send the original?)

- A copy of my Mom's birth certificate along with a certified translation into English. (Do I have to send the original?)

You got most of them right, but, you don't send the Naturalization Certificate, a copy would suffice.

I would also include your dad's death certificate as well.  If you someone goes to the Department of Civil Matters in Cairo, you can get an original that is split in half (Arabic and English) similar to that little blue one. You should only send copies.

I don't think you need to send photos to be honest.

Thank you for taking the time to read and answer my questions.

I won't be able to get my dad's death certificate any soon, do you think it might get my application delayed if I didn't include it? I think it is required at the time of visa application DS-260 if I remember correctly.

Hi - I am a US citizen. Earlier this year, I started the GC process for my parents via consular processing (they are still in their home country - India) by initiating I-130 form.

I was curious what part of the immigration processing would involve submitting police verification paperwork? During NVC or during interview?

Since police verification in India is a 1-2 month effort (and potentially longer if stuck in bureaucracy), my parents were wondering whether it made sense for them to initiate it with the police on their own, which in turn could expedite the process? Anyone have experience with this? or have any other tips to expedite the process?

Also, since there is no guarantee when my parents I-130 paperwork will get approved, would there be a problem if we got the police certificate well before the I-130 application approval date?

My Priority date May 1, 2018. Currently awaiting for case number from NVC. I only submitted copy of my birth certificate and copy of Naturalization certificate with form I-130. Other documents needed during NVC stage.
