Hi everyone. I received the welcome letter in my mail box in late January. Currently my and husband working to get the required documents ready that have to been sent to NVC.  But we're very confused about ONE thing that why does the NVC Welcome letter that was addressed to me tends to suggest that I the beneficiary will have to complete the 6 steps online. So is it this way? Who is supposed to make the online payments? Can the petitioner fill in the details and make payments ? Please advise...just trying to figure out what's best way to approach this stage

Any of you two can process the payment and the paperwork. The first step it will ask is choose an agent. If you choose your agent to be your husband, NVC will communicate with your husband and your husband will submit n pay as required.

Please is it possible to choose the beneficiary as the agent while the PETITIONER help with the payment of fees?

@shexy it is beneficial to have the petition be the agent because they have a easier and quicker access to correspondence that they sent regarding the NVC process. Most foreign countries mailing system and internet are slower than US and it’s easier to find answers to informations on question of the forms. It’s just my opinion but it makes sense.

On the other hand  we had also requested USCIS in Dec 2017 to shift my embassy address from Abu Dhabi to Dhaka as I've moved back to Bangladesh permanently and plan to appear for my interview here in Dhaka..  So my question is should we wait untill the embassy Address is changed and then proceed  with form filing, payments and sending documents? And what about my NVC case number and ID... Even that needs to be updated? OR is it alright to go ahead finish the required steps for NVC

Your case is already at NVC so forget USCIS.

Send an email to NVC to change your interview location to embassy in your country mentioning that you moved back to your country. Attach a copy of your passport page and probably the plane ticket or itinerary too for proof. You will get a new case number and then you may process all paperwork.

Hi :) oh so you mean I need to first get the NVC case number changed... That makes a lot of sense...i tried calling NVC and they said they proof that Bangladesh is my country and that I'm a citizen of Bangladesh. Alright so I'll send them required details and also provide my email address for faster notifications. Once I get a new case number maybe then I can proceed with step 1 of choosing an agent

 Hi all,

This morning I sent copy of my passport page and current  permanent address in Bangladesh plus my contact details to NVC and requested for a New Case Number.

We completed the first step of choosing Agent few days ago and just now i checked Ceac site and the both pay button for IV fee and AOS fee is active now. I'm wondering which one should we pay first? Paying AOS fee OR should I first fill IV Application and pay IV Fee??

Please advise me @arken @Aishat919 and anyone else. I just hope we don't commit any errors from our end. Any help will be highly appreciated!!

You aren’t doing AOS, so ignore that even if it’s there. Pay IV fee and fill in the IV application. I don’t think the order matters.

My bad, AOS at NVC is Affidavit of Support  (not Adjustment of Status) which you have to pay. So yes, paying AOS fee first and then IV fee is the right step.
