Comments : I got a checklist that my birth certificate and affidavit was missing, upon calling them they told me to ignore that my husband police clearance was missing which wasn't, and I told them to recheck, and they put me on supervisor review 7/13/2016, and told me it could take another 6 weeks.. yes, I'm pissed because nvc don't care to take their time to check all documents.. i have another checklist stating the police report wasn't the currect one so I finally sent the right one from (Lagos,Nigeria) off to NVC and the received it on 8/10/2016. when looked online I had 2 N/A's so I pray the 3rd comes soon! On March 1st 2017 case was returned back to Uscis and registered in the system and on February 1st 2018 they sent a case status with intention to revoke. February 6th 2018 mailed out evidence to prove my marriage was bonifed. On the 22nd of February 2018 they send out the reaffirmation and on March 3rd 2018 i received the reaffirmation but my USCIS status never changed. Stated that they would send the reaffirmed approval of the petition to NVC in the letter i received. On March 14th 2018, NVc recieved the reaffirmed petition, and logged it in their system, and told me they will send further instructions if they needed too. On March 28th Nvc sent case to America consulate Lagos, Nigeria. Asked about second interview and Nvc told me that they don’t schedule interview for me that the embassy will sent of notification on what’s next to do

Consulate Review: Nigeria
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : August 24, 2018
Embassy Review : Hello everyone,
Our journey started on January 21st 2016 when we first submitted the I-130 package and now it ends joyfully on August 24th 2018.

To know the full detail of my case look at the time line.

From recommendation for revocation to visa approval. Wasn’t easy but i give glory onto God for His faithfulness and hands on my marriage and this process.

My husband fitst interview was on November 28,2018 where they put us on AP and recommended for revocation because they believed our marriage wasn’t real. At his interview i was waiting patiently outside.

During this period of AP,i seeked assistance from senator and the Ombosmen to know status and help with our case. I spoke to an immigration lawyer who i consulted with on evidence to overcome this case. i gathered evidence that was advices and waited for the NOIR and responded with evidence, pictures, time line, statement from my husband ex wife and affidavit of relationship from friends and family. Took 11 months to hear from Uscis from consulate, to Nvc back to Uscis. After submitting documents, they approved it within 10 days. U.S. Embassy consulate received reaffirmed petition and i scheduled his interview for the allocated time of 7am for the first available date of August 8th 2018.
My husband was interviewed by a white male who he said was given visa to everyone.
Interview question was:

Consulate: good morning
Husband: good morning
Consulate: who is calling you?
Husband: my wife
Consulate: what does she do? What does she do for her hobbies on the weekend?
Husband: Gave answer
Consulate: I’ve seen you were on AP
Husband : yes, due to recommendation for revocation but was over turned
Consulate : what’s your wife date of birth and how did she come to the USA?
Husbandrovided information
Consulate : can i see pictures
Husband: tried to side our wedding album but couldn’t, so he showed picture through the glass.
Consulate: you and your wife has a child?
Husband: no, my wife attended the baby naming of my neice
Consulate: o wow, that’s great.
Consulate: i have a concern
Consulate : your affidavit of support your wife sent, did not meet. I need the absolute divorce decree.
Husband: please, not anothe AP
Consulate: ok i will make it easier, provide these two things and before 90 days you will be asked to submit your documents

My husband was interviewed and the guy stated “he was sorry, that the tax document needed a joint sponsor and he needed a divorce decree from previous marriage”. My husband stated that “does he know what it means to not live or be around your wife for years, and that he didn’t want to be put back on AP.

So the consulate officer gave him a white sheet of paper with information of drop off if needed documents to the DHL office. My husband dropped it off on August 17th and they sent notice to drop off his passport this morning on August 24th.

To others going through the process be patient, continuous visit and communication and trust God.

All Glory belong to God!!!!

Faithful God. When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. -Psalms 126:1

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
