Hello,

I have a random question for you, how did you obtain a police certificate from Guatemala? Our lawyer just informed us we have to get it, but with no directions as to how.

Wow sounds like you have a shitty attorney - they should obtain these documents for you - what are you paying them for?

Follow the link for instructions:  scroll down to the very bottom, Police Certificates, and click on "Document Finder" to find instructions for Guatemala.

Please do! Thank so much for thinking of me! I am 1000x more anxious now that I’m seeing approvals from September but haven’t heard anything about mine! I’m hoping this week will be my week! 🤞🏻

Have you received the approval letter yet?

Thank you! I didn’t sign up to receive notifications because I didn’t want to make any confusion or get cross messages between myself and my lawyer.. so now I’m relying on her to call me as soon as she hears anything 😩

Hey guys! Have anyone seen any more approvals from September from other groups?

Yes, on the facebook groups I follow.  I have also seen (in those groups) RFEs for a few early Octobers.

Hello, my approval was sent to NVC. Our lawyer has said it can take up 8 to 12 months to get the waiver approved. Just wondering how it works. Does the waiver work in a first come first serve basis? Are they sent to your original center( Nebraska, Texas, etc)?

And has anyone had had any luck trying to expedite. Thank you.

Hello!  Your 601a petition to waive the 10 year ban is sent to USCIS for approval, is that what you meant?

NVC is a completely different entity that takes care of your visa application and interview date.  It should take about a week for NVC to close out your case once they receive your ds-260, I-824 and civil docs.  Then up to 10 months to receive a visa interview date.  You can expedite for an earlier interview date if you meet the qualifications to do so on the NVC site.
