Helped on the insurance since you are an experienced driver?

Explain that one to me.  I have never heard or seen an insurance company ask about experience for auto insurance.

They asked me when I put my wife on the policy.  She still has her learners only, so it hasn't affected the rate.  After she finally passes her test I'm sure it's going to go up quite a bit.

Her 3rd try at the test is next week.  God help us.

Maybe you need a helmet while she is learning to drive.........

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

I clarified this with my husband. He said that it affects the premium of our car insurance if I'm an experienced driver or not or something to that idea :D

Never heard of such a thing.  Drivers age yes, but no experience.  How do they know if you have experience? By telling them?

I insurance my vehicles here, I don't list the drivers.

I have 4 vehicle on one policy and they are business related, I don't know who or whom will be driving them that day, never been asked to list drivers.

My other policy has my personal vehicles and never listed drivers either, I am with State Farm and in Texas.

In Utah with USAA and they need driver's names and license numbers.   How else would they track driving history?

My husband submitted a copy of my old driver's license which I kept a file. (I always scan all my government IDs)

I think maybe you're right after all.

My wife finally passed her test (3rd times a charm), updated our policy and it only went up $30/year.

My asawa was the same way so don't worry. My wife is just super cautious while driving and that was her downfall during the driving tests.

I have USAA for insurance and they are ok.

I actually just used them yesterday because I needed a tow for my wife's Murano I was driving. The damn thing finally bit the dust.

Mine did as well luckily. She also failed the written test 4 times, luckily California at the time let you take home the written test(it's now electronic), so she studied and studied until she went back to retake it and passed. Luckily for my wife is CA gave her the same version of test that we had been studying so she blew threw out without a problem.

To be fair. She actually passed the driving portion but kept smashing cones in the maneuverability part ( substitute for parallel parking) 😀
